Forums are great for sprinkling links to your site around the internet. Forums contain a lot of text and therefore keywords that you may not have thought of.

Mini Sites
Page rank directly correlates to the number of pages linking to your site and the ranking of those pages themselves. Having several sites of your own allows you to quickly add links to any new sites or pages you create. Once these mini sites are found by search engines, it is then very quick to get new sites or pages found by search engines.

Articles
Articles are a way to get a link to your from a highly ranked site. The effort is a lot greater but the payoff is a lot greater too.
